The British Press Awards 2016 winners were announced last night, with The Guardian’s Daniel Taylor walking away with both the News Reporter and Sports Journalist of the Year awards for his series of stories about child sexual abuse in football.

Other winners included The Sun on Sunday's Laura Armstrong (ShowBiz Reporter of the Year), The Telegraph's Lisa Armstrong (Fashion Journalist of the Year), The Daily Mail (Newspaper of the Year), and The Sunday Times's AA Gill who was awarded both Features Writer and Critic of the Year posthumously.
